200 Club News Jon Averns runs the 200 Club and may be contacted on 07802-527940 or at jonathan.averns@corpoflondon.gov.uk About the 200 Club For over 30 years the 200 Club has been a major fund raiser for the club. It's a lottery restricted to 200 members who pay a monthly amount of £8 which enters them into twelve monthly draws each with three money prizes and then an annual draw for two prizes of £2,500 and £600. When the idea was first thought of by Colin Durden in the late 1960's the alternative first prize in the annual draw was a new car (albeit a very basic Austin Mini!) More than 1,200 prizes have been drawn since the 200 club started, so anyone who has been a member since the beginning should on average have won four or five prizes. In 2008 the both the annual "subscription" and the value of the prizes are going to be raised .
