Beccehamian Minis Enjoy Kent Festival Prelims
On Sunday 9th March our Mini sides from U8s - U12s took part in a number of preliminary Kent Festivals across the county.
3 Beccs teams will now play in Semi Finals at Kent Festival this weekend at Tonbridge Juddians.
Furher great success for the Beccehamian RFC minis section this past weekend at various grounds around the county.
The under 12s went unbeaten in their pool without conceding a try and finished second in their group on tries scored setting up a quarter final with local rivals and friends Beckenham. A hard fought contest saw Beccs turning around 1-0 down at halftime to rally back with 2 scores, the winning try was a great team move that now sees the boys go the semi-final against Elthamians.
The under 11s had similar success in their group and also finished second before finally being beaten on a golden try against Gravesend in the quarter finals.
The under 10s being a very small side could not mx it up with the bigger sides in its group and with some juggling of playing personnel were always up against it. However this did put them into the quarter final for 4th placed teams where they saved their best rugby to last by beating Gravesendians setting up a semi final clash next weekend.
The under 9s like other teams played extremely well to finish second in their group, but like the under 11s lost out to a golden try by Edenbridge in their quarter final.
Finally the under 8s like the under 12s went undefeated by finished second in their group on tries scored, then beat Sittingbourne in their quarter final to have them also head to Tonbrdge Judds next Sunday with the 12s and 10s for semi final and no doubt cup final action.
