Knockouts Beccs v Old Colfs - 3 - 5. Ralph 1 Matthew 1 Adam 1 Beccs v Sidcup - 6 - 4. Eddie 2 Matthew 2 Adam 1 Henry 1 We started quite slow. Our first game being against Old Colf's, it took the team a while to get warmed up. Then things started to flow. Some great set moves and nice flat lines when defending. A great come back from the team and unfortunately a couple of tries disallowed. We then played Sicup. From the start the team was well organised, with lots of talking to each other and some brilliant cover play. Once again the defending was first class, nice flat lines and plenty of turn over ball. All the teams in our group won and lost, so it was decided to go on tries scored. The problem here was all teams had scored 9 tries. So the decision was made to go on tries against, this put us in second place. Final Beccs v Thurrock 6 - 5. Matthew 2 Ralph 2 Adam 1 Connor R 1 From the start the team was really motovated. The thought of playing in a final made even the quite boys loud (and some of the parents). The first half was end to end with both teams passing and defending well. Beccs then took the lead by two tries in the second half. At that point the team must have thought they had won. Thurrock came back to equal the score line. After some advice to the boys, they turned the game around and produced the best 3 minutes of tag rugby, the team has seen. After scoring and with 1 minute to go, the boys defence was superb, they were up and tagging as a line, in the end causing Thurrock to lose possesion. A well deserved win.
