A new Girls Section has started!
Beccehamian RFC are recruiting for their brand new girls section which is being introduced allowing female players to progress from the current mini structure to girls youth rugby. It's hoped to encourage more girls into rugby and into a more active lifestyle from an early age. U11’s upwards are welcome at Sparrows Den with the aim of providing rugby for all ages and genders at the Club.
No experience is necessary you don’t need to have played mini rugby or be really sporty to play rugby - just come along and give it a try!
We will be introducing the full 15-a-side game to girls with many of the rules for the full game applying to the various age groups albeit with some differences around the scrum and line-out for safety purposes. There will be two new squads, U11-U14 and U15-U17.
Beccehamian Girls Training/Coaching sessions for both groups are held at the club on Sundays during the season starting at 10.30 am. Individual age groups pages will show the schedule of training and matches once the season gets underway.
