Sunday 25th April 2004 - Worthing Festival U7 Festival Report - Played 7, Won 7, Cup Winners! After topping our group by beating Dorking (6-1), Sevenoaks (5-1) & Westcombe Park (6-2) we had a tough draw against the home side Worthing in the quarter-finals. We managed to beat them 5-4, which put us up against a strong Windsor side in the semi-final. 4-4 at full-time and we went into a Golden Try situation. Unfortunately we lost the toss that meant, not only were we going up the hill, but Windsor were also starting with the ball. We were going to have to force a turnover to win the game. Full credit to our boys as they defended superbly, pounced on a loose ball, and scored in the top corner. And so to the final against Crowborough and we were down 3-2 at half time. But we kept battling away and we eventually went on to win the Cup 5-4. It was a fantastic achievement by a fantastic group of boys. The support was superb, the weather was great. What a day!
