Under 8 mini rugby is played with 7 players on each side. They play with a size 3 ball on a pitch which is approximately a quarter that of a normal full size pitch. Mini rugby at this level is called TAG rugby, where each boy wears a TAG belt with 2 tags dangling from it. A tackle occurs when a player is Tagged. There are no scrums, line-outs or contact at this age group. Training/Coaching sessions for all age groups are held at the club every Sunday during the season starting at 10.30 am.
