3rd Oct 2004 - Foxbury Festival Match Report Played 4 - Won 2; Drew 2 - Semi-Fianlists A fantastic result for the U9's in their first competive contact game.Although losing their first match 0-3 to Westcombe Park the team responded well in their second match. Now fully awake they went on to beat Sidcup 2-0,with some great tackling and good support play. To reach the semi-finals we had to over come Blackheath,who were very confident that they would beat us. After scoring early on Beccs defended bravely, Blackheath levelled the game just before half time. The U9's kept their heads held high and scored midway through the second half and defended their lead to the end, coming out victors 2-1. On to the semi-finals against Old Alleynians, by now the team were very tired and went down 5-0, to a very organised opponent. Jordan Souter recieved the trophy on behalf of the U9's. Well done on an excellent performance.
