Beccehamian InterClub 7's Tournament - Saturday 30th April 2005 The Annual 7's Tournament kicked off at 1.30pm last Saturday at Sparrow's Den. The first XV were being rested before their Kent Vase Cup Semi-Final the next day which left six teams to compete for glory. Competing were 'The Incredibles', 'The Slapheads', 'The Tweenies', 'The Rugrats', 'The All Stars' and 'The Jockey Club'. With handicaps worked out beforehand, sun shining and many supporters the action began. Some great rugby was played and before long the semi-finals played out to leave 'The Incredibles' and 'The Tweenies' to face each other in the Grand Finale. However before that there was time for the Wooden Spoon final which was nobly won by 'The Slapheads' Suitably rested 'The Incredibles' and 'The Tweenies' took to the pitch for the well-contested final with some excellent displays of tackling and speed from both sides. 'The Tweenies' were one of the two teams from the Beccehamian Academy Squad and relished the chance to show off their skills. The final also gave them a chance against many of the guys that had helped to coach them this season so it was with great satisfaction that they were able to win the competition.
