Beccehamian Youth Represent Kent and Bromley District

Kent U15’s had 2 Beccs players in the side with Ben Coles and Callum Murray beating Hampshire 11- 0.

In the U17’s Beccs Academy were represented by Jamie Keate, Aiden Brennan and Andrew Murray who beat Middlesex 22- 0.

Great performances by all, which the club can be very proud of. It was also extremely good exposure for the lads to be playing at this level which is definitely a big step up from Club Rugby – I was gobsmacked at the very high skill level, pace and intensity of the games particularly the U17’s game which was fantastic to watch. Doug Murray.

At U16s level Tom Christophers has made a number of appearances for the Kent side this season.

In the U14s Jack Robertson and Charlie Phair have made an impressive centre partnership for Kent and Beccs.

And finally at Kent level, in the U13s Matthew Crowther has been part of the Kent U13s School of Rugby Squad.

In addition, Beccs can boast a number of players in the U14s, U15s and U16s Bromley District squads who will be playing and representing the Bromley Borough in matches against an East Kent District and a West Kent District.

The initial U15s match against West Kent played on the 5th March featured 7 of the current U15s squads in the 22 picked to play for the Borough. Bromley eventually coming out winners in a keenly contested match 19-5, with Jamie hughes picking up a try and Alex Brooks a couple of conversions along the way.

To have 9 players representing Kent across the various age groups at Youth level and with a number of players forming major parts of the Bromley District Squads too is a fantastic achievement. Well done to all of the players.
