Under 13 Junior rugby is played with 15 players on each side, 8 in the scrum and a full set of 7 backs. They play with a size 4 ball on a full sized pitch. Most of the rules at this age group and above are the same as the full senior game however there are a few restrictions like no lifting in the line-out and limited pushing and wheeling of the scrum for safety reasons. U13 rugby is played by boys in year 8 at school. The Under 13’s at Beccs is a fairly strong section and had their best results at the end of a difficult season last year reaching 2 finals at the Kent (Plate finalists) and Worthing Festivals (Cup Finalists) and only narrowly losing on both occasions. This season has been particularly successful as can be seen by the results to date. Training/Coaching is held at the club every Sunday during the season starting at 10.30 am. New playing members and parents are welcome to join at any time! |
