Sunday 10th October 2004 vs Croydon Won 47 - 7
U16 Match Report
Following on from a less than impressive performance at the Kent U.16 10's tournament Beccs played their second away game of the season against Croydon R.F.C. and gained a triumphant win over them 47-7.
With windy conditions the game kicked off to a good start as we broke through their defence to gain more ground. As we gained more ground we finally got through to get our first try, scored by Jack Keil. After Jack's try Beccs followed it up with two more trys and Croydon with one try (converted as well) within the first half.
After a few disagreements in the first half we kicked off to a good start in the second half. One of our newest members Ollie Lovelock helped by scoring another try for our team. In the end it was an easy victory for us, resulting in a final score of 47-7 as shown above.
Overall our team played fantastic with superb passing, great running and strong defence from the forwards.
The try scorers were Jack Keil, Ollie Lovelock, Dan Harding, Vince Knight, Ross Martin, James Netty (x2), Joe Sheehan and Matt Watson.
Iain McElhone added one conversion.
